Der Tenor Severin Böhm, geboren 1991 in Zwickau, lebt heute in Leipzig. Er erhielt seine erste Schauspielausbildung in Montreal, wo er als Sänger in verschiedenen Bühnenproduktionen mitwirkte. Danach studierte er Gesang und Musiktheater bei Christina Wartenberg an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater „Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy“ in Leipzig.
Seitdem ist er regelmäßig als Solist in Oratorienprojekten deutschlandweit gefragt und arbeitet u.a. mit dem Schweriner Vocalensemble, dem Johann Rosenmüller Ensemble, dem Ensemble 1684 unter der Leitung von Gregor Meyer sowie dem Orpheuschor München und dem Bachchor Stuttgart zusammen. Auch mit Orchestern wie der Staatskapelle Schwerin, der Jenaer Philharmonie, dem Orchester Collegium für Alte Musik Vorpommern und L’arpa festante tritt er auf.
Gemeinsam mit Franz Grundheber sang er im Konzert die Tenorpartie in der Böhmischen Hirtenmesse von J. J. Ryba. Festivals und Konzertreisen führten ihn auch ins europäische Ausland unter anderem zu Gast nach Paris, wo er in der „La Madeleine“ den Tenorpart im Requiem von W.A. Mozart übernahm.
Im Rahmen einer Studioproduktion 2017 in Leipzig spielte er die Rolle des Ola Pang in „Turandot. Kommentar“. 2020 war Severin Böhm als Lucas Beineke in The Addams Family beim Sommertheater der Comödie Dresden zu sehen und 2023 verkörperte er den Prinzen in einer Kinderfassung von E. Humperdincks Dornröschen auf Schloss Hartenfels in Torgau. Zudem sang er den Belmonte in einer Neuinterpretation von Mozarts Die Entführung aus dem Serail bei der Taschenoper Lübeck.
Sein Repertoire umfasst eine breite Palette an musikalischen Werken von der Ära des Frühbarock bis zur Spätromantik, darunter Komponisten wie H. Schütz, J.S. Bach, G.F. Händel, G. Puccini und G. Rossini. Besonders verbunden fühlt er sich mit den Liedern von F. Schubert, R. Schumann, J. Brahms sowie weiterer Komponisten, die er bereits in diversen Liederabenden zu Gehör brachte.

The tenor Severin Böhm, born in 1991 in Zwickau, currently lives in Leipzig. He received his first acting training in Montreal, where he appeared as a singer in various stage productions. He then studied voice and musical theatre with Christina Wartenberg at the University of Music and Theatre “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” in Leipzig.
Since then, he has been regularly engaged as a soloist in oratorio projects across Germany, collaborating with ensembles such as the the Schwerin Vocal Ensemble, the Johann Rosenmüller Ensemble, Ensemble 1684 under the direction of Gregor Meyer, the Orpheus Choir Munich and the Bach Choir Stuttgart. He has also performed with orchestras such as the Staatskapelle Schwerin, the Jena Philharmonic, the Collegium for Early Music Vorpommern, and L’arpa festante.
Together with Franz Grundheber, he sang the tenor part in J. J. Ryba’s Bohemian Shepherd Mass in concert. Festivals and concert tours have also taken him abroad, including to Paris, where he performed the tenor solo in Mozart’s Requiem at La Madeleine.
As part of a studio production in Leipzig in 2017, he played the role of Ola Pang in Turandot. Kommentar. In 2020, Severin Böhm appeared as Lucas Beineke in The Addams Family during the summer theatre season at Comödie Dresden, and in 2023 he portrayed the Prince in a children’s adaptation of E. Humperdinck’s Sleeping Beauty at Hartenfels Castle in Torgau. He also performed the role of Belmonte in a reimagined production of Mozart’s The Abduction from the Seraglio with Taschenoper Lübeck.
His repertoire spans a wide range of musical works from the early Baroque to the late Romantic period, including composers such as H. Schuetz, J.S. Bach, G.F. Handel, G. Puccini and G. Rossini. He has a special affinity for the lieder of F. Schubert, R. Schumann, J. Brahms and other composers, whose works he has presented in various song recitals.
